General Information

New Students can enrol in classes any time, and will have ONE free tryout class. The annual registration fee will $25 with free leotard. After enrolment you will receive a confirmation email from Chu's Dance confirming your enrolment in classes (please note this may take a few days for processing). Please note that after this period all classes that are not full will then be opened up to new enrolments so please make sure you enroll prior to then in order to guarantee your spots in preferred classes. COMPETITION CLASSES IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note that it is compulsory for students enrolled in Competition at beginning Ballet 1 & up and above to also be enrolled in a Acrobatics class. Dance Competition require Dance knowledge to be effective, therefore, students must either be enrolled in a Dance class at Chu's Dance or study Dance elsewhere in order to take Ballet and Acrobatics. This does not apply to Tiny Tumblers or Acrobatics as these are non-performing recreational classes. Acrobatics classes DO NOT PERFORM IN THE CONCERT.

Policy Agreements

Please read becarefully and tick to agree below:

TUITION & FEES: Tuition is due on the 1st lesson of each quarter. A late fee of $25 will be applied if payment is not received within 15 days from the first lesson. If fee are unpaid for more than 60 days, you will be sent to a Debt Collector. All legal costs incurred will be paid by the debtor/student. A $30 service charge will be applied for checks returned for insufficient funds. All tuition is non-refundable nor transferrable.

MISSED LESSONS: No tuition credits/ return or make-up lessons are given. Students are charged for all classes registered. Except two credits are given in case of illness or emergency. Two credits can only give for 10 lesson package and Four credits can only give for 20 lesson package. The credit can only be given if a phone call, text or e-mail is received 24 hours before the class. Please contact your teacher for any concerns, it is imperative and respectful that you call to let the teacher know that your child will not be attending class. If no notice is received, the class fee will be charged. Each classes package will expire in THREE-SIX MONTH.

DRESS CODE:The class requires all students to wear studio leotard, tight, shoes, shirt and hair with ballet bun in classes or events. If the proper attire is not worn, the student may be asked to leave the class until proper clothes are worn in the classroom. Please do not wear your ballet shoes out on the street. This will not only damage your shoes and track unnecessary dirt and grease into the studio.

The competition team requires all dancers to wear studio Jacket at the rewards.

LIABILITY WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK:

Mid-term Enrolments:

If there is room in a class mid-term enrollments will be accepted, fees will be charged pro-rata for the remainder of the term and fees must be paid within two weeks of class commencement.

Important Information:

All products of Chu's Dance including, music, routines, and costumes remain the property of Chu's Dance and cannot be replicated. Chu's Dance will not be held responsible for any injuries which may occur whilst in class or on the premises, but will seek medical attention for your child immediately if needed.  I understand to provide adequate dance tuition it is necessary for dance teachers to guide student movement, which may require physical contact.  I agree with these terms and conditions. I agree term fees / deposit will be paid by the invoice date and that there are NO REFUNDS on any payment of term fees or costume hire / purchase.  If term fees are not paid prior to the outlined period the child will be unable to attend class unless the parent has made suitable arrangements with the Directors to organise payment.  By signing this form you are giving consent for Chu's Dance to use photographs and/or video footage of the dance student for promotional purposes e.g. website, social media, newspapers, events, or shopping centres. Please be aware that Chu's Dance has the right to sell videos of students who participate in the end of year concert and group photos.   During the period of participation within Chu's Dance it is the responsibility of the guardian or student to advise Chu's Dance if personal circumstances / information change.

CLOSED DOOR POLICY: We have a CLOSED DOOR POLICY at ALL Class. It is our experience that students are better focused without the distraction of parents, siblings, and friends.

FOOD/ GUM: Absolutely NO GUM on the premises. All food, snacks, and drinks are not allowed inside studio. Except water.

FUTURE POLICY CHANGES: Chu’s Dance Studio reserves the right to change the above policies at any time to reflect the needs and concerns of the studio. Student will be informed of changes to policies.

PERFORMANCES: All students are required to participate in school recital and annual performance. There are additional application fees charged. From junior level and up we required student to purchase costume for presenting a professional look on stage. Costumes can vary between $200-$500 depending on how elaborate you would like to go.

COSTUME RENTAL: All costume has a rental fee charge. For student rentals, absolutely NO dyeing, distressing, or permanent alterations are allowed. No major alterations may be done without the authorization of the instructor. All items must be returned clean and in good repair. Any costumes returned with damages will be assessed at full costume replacement value.

Aug. 2022 Pricing and Discounts (12 or 24 week term) An annual registration fee of $25 is charged on commencement of classes in order to cover insurance, administration and music licensing costs.  

60 min/10 classes - $180/ 12 week term

60 min/20 classes - $324/ 24 week term

90 min/10 classes - $250 / 12 week term

90 min/20 classes - $450/ 24 week term

FAMILY DISCOUNTS  (Calculated per family on total amount) 1 Sibling = 10%, Sencond Sibling = 5%
